Klostertal Museum
Description
The Klostertal Museum in Wald am Arlberg, opened in 1994, is located in the former "Thöny Hof". The unsettled history of this farmstead can be followed far back to its construction around the middle of the 17th century. The Klostertal Museum has taken on the task of familiarizing the local inhabitants and guests with the history of the valley. It focuses especially on actual factual topics dealing with Kloster Valley history, including life and work on the farm, social history, artists and their lives, the history of transportation (including the Arlberg Railway), postal services and tourism. There are also special temporary exhibits on changing topics.
