FIS Skimuseum Damüls

Description
The vicarage in the town of Damüls is located in a prominent place, just below the church St. Nikolaus. For many years it was empty and unused. Today it is home to the only officially certified "FIS Ski Museum" in Vorarlberg. The history of skiing in Vorarlberg stretches back around 130 years. An original pair of racing skis, which belonged to Austrian skiing legend Toni Sailer, dating from 1957, is just one of the attractive exhibits from the extensive collection assembled by Christian Lingenhöle. In addition to quaint and interesting historic objects there are also numerous momentos relating to Vorarlberg skiing pioneers and other successful sportspersons.
