Vorarlberger Militärmuseum

The Vorarlberg Military Museum originated in the history room at the Bilgeri Barracks in the town of Bregenz. In 1979 a "Vorarlberg Military History Collection" was established there and formed the basis for the Military Museum exhibitions on three floors of the Martinsturm in Bregenz. In 2010 the collection was moved back to the Colonel Bilgeri Military Headquarters (the former Bilgeri Barracks). The newly conceived and organized exhibits detailing the history of military defense in Vorarlberg and the Lake of Constance region were completed and opened to the public in June 2017. The museum can be visited with prior reservations, or for special events.
