Sammlung Hans Bäumler

The Hans Bäumler Collection is the result of decades of passionate collecting activities by Consul Hans Bäumler. Two permanent exhibitions are on display: The ART COLLECTION (SAMMLUNG KUNST) presents a journey through 130 years of art history, featuring over 100 masterpieces by artists such as Carl Spitzweg, Ferdinand Georg Waldmüller, Claude Monet, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Paul Gauguin, and Pablo Picasso. The NATURE COLLECTION (SAMMLUNG NATUR) showcases a selection of taxidermy specimens and natural artifacts. Both permanent exhibitions are complemented by the ART/SPACE (KUNST/RAUM)—a venue for events and rotating exhibitions that consistently reinforce the connection between art and nature, fostering compelling dialogues.
